Miller remains the only Rovers player to win the Man of Steel for his performances in 1986. Played the fewest games of the 13 selected but left a lasting legacy.

Hull-born Fletcher is the only player named in the side to have played in this millennium. Gave 18 years’ of service and fell short of the all-time appearance record by 17 games.

His speed and size helped GB win 1970 Ashes before helping Manly win the NRL Grand Final. His return to KR sparked an upturn in fortunes, highlighted by the 1980 cup final win.

Nicknamed ‘Iron Man’ for his physical approach to the game and with him in the side, Rovers were never rolled over. Could easily play at prop, second row or loose forward.

Few players can get away with having a nickname like ‘Flash’, but he was that good. His skills helped redefine the role of hooker and also saw him tour Australia three times.

One of his greatest games for Hull KR came in October 1983 when he was man of the match against the touring Queensland side. His grubber kick led to Mike Smith scoring the winning try.

A no-nonsense prop described as a ‘war horse’ who took no prisoners when he ran the ball at defenders, and he could tackle too. He won seven of the 14 finals he played in for KR.

Regarded as one of the best stand-offs of all time and one of the bravest too, having played the majority of the 1980 Challenge Cup final with a broken jaw.

Having a road named after him shows how highly he was thought of and he is the only player to score 100 tries for both Rovers and Hull.
